Farmers in England are being urged to consult their vet about vaccinating their herd or flock against Bluetongue serotype 3 (BTV-3) as part of the #BattleBluetongue campaign being launched across the ruminant industry by @TheAHDB & @RuminantHW
Bluetongue Vaccination Webinar:
This webinar on was one of our best turnouts to date, it was held to get a discussion going with our clients about Bluetongue vaccination. On such a scary and daunting topic for all farmers and small holders alike, we have had great feedback and interest in the vaccine we have recommended that we feel would best suit the majority of our clients. However there are other options available if this particular vaccine doesn’t suit your management system. Please get in touch with us to get advice from a vet.
#BattleBluetongue Campaign launched

Lamb Disease Prevention and Control webinar:
We hosted this webinar with the focus on lamb disease prevention and control, with a special guest from Forte Healthcare to talk about the new watery mouth product, Arkguard. In this webinar we spoke about problems experienced with ewes and lambs at lambing time, how to recognise them and how to prevent them. It was Bella’s first webinar but she did great job and we had one of our biggest audiences we’ve had so far!
Sheep Spectacular Meeting
We had an amazing turn out at our Sheep Spectacular meeting held at The Salwey Arms. It was such a pleasure seeing old and new faces and being able have very important discussions with a lot of you.
Emily kicked off the meeting opening with a fab presentation of introduce Marches Farm Vets and preparing the ewe for lambing. Bella the stepped in and gave a very informative talk on housing, management and hygiene during lambing time. She did such an amazing job in front of a big crowd and we couldn’t be prouder of her!
We then had a short break for some lovely pork baps and chips. Sam from Forte health was up next after food presenting a product call Arkguard for watery mouth. We do stock this product and have had great feed back from our clients that have used the product. Finally, Rachel from Nobacz presented their navel spray and Ambugreen gel products. Nobacz have some great case studies behind them to support their products and again we have had very positive feed back from clients that have used the navel spray.
Richard bought the evening to a close with a special thank you to the three the Salwey Arms for being so accommodating and the three rep companies that sponsored the event.
