Based in both Leominster and just outside Ludlow, Marches Farm Vets supports all your livestock veterinary requirements. Whether a large scale commercial farm or small holding, we’ve got you covered.

Proudly Independent

Marches Farm Vets is an independent practice running within north Herefordshire and south Shropshire. Our team, all involved in the farming industry, aim to have a proactive and preventative approach to animal health and welfare.

We are a member of XL vets – the biggest collaborative veterinary group in the UK. This enables us to remain independent whilst having a wider community reach within the farm veterinary industry.

We work with many farming systems from:

  • Robotic dairy to pasture based block calving herds

  • Large calf rearing, suckler and store cattle units to small pedigree beef herds

  • Extensive commercial sheep flocks

  • Mixed-breed smallholdings

Our aim is to provide the best service to every aspect of the farming community.

EU Change of Legislation - selling livestock

We are sure most of you will already be aware of the new Veterinary Attestation requirement !

From 13 December 2023 UK producers sending animals to market or to slaughter must be able to demonstrate that a veterinary visit has taken place in the past 12 months.

There is the option to have this visit funded through the Animal Health and Welfare Pathway funding which has just had the application process for farmers significantly simplified.

We can also use this visit to include your prescription review which then allows us to prescribe POM-V medicines for use on your farm.

Please look at LAA for more details on the change of legislation or alternatively contact the office on 01568 701920
